• The Winter Journey for piano and percussion quartet Yarn|wire is the re-presentation of a short story by Georges Perec, and will be premiered in June 2018. Sequelae performances by Yarn|wire include Fall 2018 performances at Shenandoah University and the Corcoran School for the Arts at GWU.
  • A Book of Songs, a cycle of songs for tenor and piano, on texts by Jorie Graham, BJ Ward, Aristotle, Heraclitus, Husserl, and Wallace Stevens, for tenor Robert Baker will have its first complete performance in Spring 2018, and will be recorded at Sono Luminus
  • A new work for guitarist Dan Lippel will be premiered in fall 2018.
  • A Book of Etudes is a collection of 21 linked but autonomous works, works that are parts of a whole, but a whole not intended to be perceivable as a whole; will not be experienced as a whole; the set contains all combinations of clarinet, cello, and piano: three trio etudes, nine duo etudes (three for each possible duo combination of the three instruments), and nine solo etudes (three for each instrument). This prismatic collection of music will be combined into varied instrumental configurations by performers, making the collection itself a source of collaborative connection between these performers and others. Three etudes have been completed and premiered. Two will be premiered this season. In all, 10 performers are already committed to this project, in both the US and Brazil with at least 6 performances scheduled for the 2017-2018 season.
